The Crossing
You may be in a season of endings: letting go of a role, a relationship, or a version of yourself that no longer fits.
Your whole reading, emailed straight to you.
“Something in me had to end so that something truer could live.”
The Crossing is the archetype of ending, transformation, and the passage from one identity into another. Something has reached the end of its life in the form you've known it: a role, a relationship, a belief, a way of being seen.
You stop saying yes out of habit, and someone tells you, You've changed. They say it like an accusation. And some part of you hears it as one.
Some identities aren't wrong. They're simply complete. You don't cross a threshold by carrying every former self across it.
- You may notice that a role you've played for years no longer fits.
- You may be grieving something, even though the ending was necessary.
- You may hear "you've changed" and feel guilty about it.
- You may fear that if you change, you'll lose the people who knew who you used to be.
- You may keep reviving a relationship or a plan that has already ended.
- You may sense something truer on the other side, without knowing yet what it is.
The gifts opening in you
You're willing to let go of what no longer fits, even when it's familiar.
You're no longer confusing familiarity with truth.
You can honor what was without needing it to continue.
Every ending in you makes room for something truer.
The shadow of The Crossing appears when endings are either resisted or romanticized. It may look like:
- Clinging to a role long after it's become painful.
- Resurrecting relationships that have already ended, again and again.
- Refusing to grieve because you're trying to stay "high-vibe" about transformation.
- Making the ending itself a home: telling the story of what was lost until it becomes who you are.
None of this means you're doing endings wrong. It means something real is ending, and part of you is still deciding whether to let it. This season isn't asking you to rush past your grief. It's asking you to honor what is ending enough to actually let it end.
Let what is complete end, without needing the ending to mean it was a mistake.
You can let something end without denying its value or rewriting its history.
Notice which voice sounds like you right now. That tells you where you are on the path.
“If I change, I may lose the people, roles, or relationships that knew who I used to be.”
“I can honor what was true without requiring it to stay true forever.”
Release without erasure.
Name what is complete
Sit with a page and finish this sentence as many times as you need: Something that is complete in my life is…
Next to each one, write one thing it gave you. Then write: Thank you. You can end now.
You're not erasing anything. You're letting it finish its season.
May you honor what was, and let it go with love.
May your grief be tended, not rushed.
May you cross into who you are becoming with open hands.
Nothing true in you has ended.
Only what was complete.

Maybe you walk into a room and feel what no one is saying.
Maybe you come home carrying emotions that were never yours.
Maybe you've tried shielding, boundaries, cord-cutting, more meditation, and you still end the week depleted.
Maybe you've been told you're too sensitive. And some days, you believe it.
The usual fixes treat sensitivity as a problem to manage: something to shield, shrink, or protect yourself from. This book treats it as the beginning of a path, and shows you every step of it.
For centuries, the 22 cards of the Major Arcana have been read as a journey. The Fool steps off the cliff, and every card after her is a lesson on the road to wholeness.
Read that journey through the eyes of someone who feels everything, and it becomes the story of spiritual awakening. The open-hearted one who absorbs the whole world. The intuitive who doesn't yet trust what she knows. The giver who disappears into everyone else's needs. The seeker who has to walk away to hear herself. The ending that breaks everything open. The light that finds its way back.
It's the path every sensitive soul walks, usually alone, and usually without knowing it's a path at all.
Want to see where you've already walked, and where you're going next?
Every archetype is a season of your life. You've lived some of them already. Some are still ahead. And some will come back around, each time a little deeper.

Larissa Thera
I'm Larissa, a spiritual teacher, channel, and lifelong empath. For nearly a decade, I've been helping sensitive souls make sense of what's happening beneath the surface of their lives.
Like you, I felt every room, every expectation, every rejection, and tried to think my way into feeling safe. I was so overwhelmed by everything I felt that I was planning to leave the country just to escape my own life.
What changed everything wasn't learning to feel less. It was learning which thoughts and feelings belonged to me, and which ones I could finally let go.
I wrote The Mystic's Journey so you don't have to walk this path without a map.
P.S. The Mystic's Journey is just the first doorway. I'm building a whole universe for mystics like you, a place where you finally belong and where you become who your soul has always known you are. I can't show you everything yet, but your throne is already waiting, and yes, there will be rose petals.
